Come fly with us...

Introductory Flights and Trial Flights

We offer both Introductory Flights and Trial Flights. Both are a wonderful treat for yourself or make an unforegttable present.

Why not book a flight for yourself or buy a gift voucher as a present for a special occasion or loved one?

An Introductory Flight is an excellent introduction to flying and makes an unforgettable gift for a special occasion or loved one. A qualified pilot will be at the controls and you, or the recipient of the gift voucher, can enjoy the wonderful Manx scenery from the air.

Our Introductory Flights are now available for 1 or 2 people and you can choose a duration of 45 or 60 minutes.

Upon arrival at the flying school you will be met by your pilot and head out to the aeroplane, where your pilot will give you a safety briefing and talk about the route with you, to incorporate any sights you would like to see, where possible.

Before you know it, the wheels will be off the ground and you’ll be climbing into the sky, admiring the Isle of Man from a birds eye perspective .

Towards the end of the flight, you will head back towards Castletown and start the descent to the airport,  giving you a pilot's viewpoint of the runway, which you may not have experienced before.

Moments later you’ll be back on the ground, taxiing back to the flying school.

lt is very easy to get started:

Decide if you would like a 45 or 60 minute flight         and then contact us either by e-mail or phone.

Your pilot will, of course, be a qualified pilot, but may not be a flying instructor and will therefore not hand the controls of te aircraft over to you.

If you would like to have a go at controlling the aeroplane yourself, please book a trial flight with us.

We suggest that you wear comfortable clothes and sensible shoes for your flight.

Due to our changeable weather, please confirm

with us before setting off to the airport for your

flight on the day, that the conditions are

suitable and the flight can go ahead.

A 45 minute Introductory Flight costs from £180.00

A 60 minute Introductory Flight costs from £235.00

Longer Introductory Flights with a land-away

such as to Chester or Belfast, with a visit to the local aerodrome cafe can be arranged.

A Trial Flight is also an excellent introduction to flying and makes an unforgettable gift for a special occasion or a loved one. It is more 'hands on' than an introductory flight.  A qualified instructor will guide you, or the recipient of the gift voucher, through a first experience of controlling an aeroplane in the sky above our beautiful island.

Our Trial Flights are now available for 1 or 2 budding pilots at a time, depending on the aeroplane you select.

You can choose a duration of 45 or 60 minutes.

After meeting your Flying Instructor and receiving     a safety briefing, you will get comfortable in the aeroplane and set off for an amazing experience.    We will discuss  the route with you prior to departure and try to incorporate any landmarks or your own house, as you wish and within Air Traffic Control and other limitations.

Once airborne, you will have some wonderful

views of the Isle of Man and have the opportunity

to look at places you are interested in from the air.

During the lesson you will take control of the aircraft and fly the aeroplane under the careful watch of your instructor.

Towards the end of the flight, you will head back towards Castletown and start the descent

to the airport,  giving you a pilot's viewpoint of the runway, which you may not have experienced before. Moments later you’ll be back on

the ground, taxiing back to the flying school.

The flight time can be logged towards the hours required to gain a Private Pilots Licence or a

Light Aircraft Pilot Licence.

We suggest that you wear comfortable clothes and sensible shoes for your flight.

Due to our changeable weather, please confirm     with us before setting off to the airport on the day, that conditions are suitable and that your flight can go ahead.

A 45 minute Trial Flight costs from £200.00

A 60 minute Trial Flight costs from £260.00

Why not add a pilot logbook for £15,

in which to record the trial flight, or

a booklet called 'The Trial Flight Guide', for £7.50, which explains what to expect durig the flight?

Either will be posted to you with the gift voucher.
